A business traveller is an individual who is working temporarily in a different work location, this can be for a couple of days or weeks or months. Based on this there are a lot of legal aspects to be reviewed.

What happens after you have insert your information?

Option A (8 days clause / permit free activity)
Your activity does not require neither a notification nor a work permit. For EU citizens will appear: You can carry out your activity in Switzerland for up to 90 days without registering with the residence control. If you stay in Switzerland for more than 90 days, you must register with the relevant resident control with a valid work and rental contract.

For non-EU citizens subject to visas will appear: You can carry out your activity in Switzerland with a valid business visa without a further work permit in the country and for the duration of the visa.

 

Option B (assignment up to 90 days)
Your activity is only subject to an online notification/registration due to your stated answers.
EU-25/EFTA workers and Britons posted to Switzerland by companies or companies established in an EU-25/EFTA Member State do not require a permit for stays of less than 90 days but are subject to notification. The notification must be made no later than 8 days before the start of work. The local and industry-standard wage must be guaranteed. All other provisions of the Swiss Act on Posted Workers must be observed.

 

Option C (assignment)
Your activity is subject to work permit based on your stated answers, i.e., you must apply for work permit and the necessary documents to the competent cantonal migration authority. Your activities must not take place without a definitive decision by the authorities.

 

Option D (local employment)
Your activity is subject to work permit based on your stated answers, i.e., you must apply for work permit and the necessary documents to the competent cantonal migration authority. Your activities must not take place without a definitive decision by the authorities. Prior to this, the employer would have to publish the position on the RAV and two other yoke search engines. The publication duration varies depending on the canton of the place of work.
